Your mission

Your mission

How do you see the future? What’s your biggest hope for the Earth? In your opinion, what are the biggest threats to the future of the planet? Take some time to think about it, and draw the Earth you’d like to live in once you’re all grown up. With your drawing and those of thousands of youths from around the world, we’ll send a clear message to the leaders and decision-makers of the planet and launch a debate on the problems related to climate change and biodiversity.

Together, through art, we’ll change the world, one drawing at a time.

Our objective

Our objective

The 1,000 Days for the Planet team will bring the thousands of drawings collected to the 2015 Paris Conference. During this major summit, countries will gather to sign a global, post-Kyoto agreement to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions. It will serve as an important step towards the future of the planet.

1,000 Days for the Planet is a three-year adventure spearheaded by Jean Lemire and the crew of the famous oceanographic schooner Sedna IV to discover life’s extraordinary diversity and document its delicate balance.

Where?

The United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP21) in Paris

When?

From November 30 to December 11, 2015
